Welcome to Spring 2007 at the Nite
Owl Guitar Shop.
Rebel researches the competition.
Rebel is an Australian Shepherd and a
big Tommy Emmanuel fan. He also
knows all the words to Waltzing Matilda.
Every time he barks "G'Day Mate" it
cracks me up.
Ah, the smell of Brazilian Rosewood
with Spanish Cedar kerfing.
Dreadnought ready for strings.
Time to spank the baby.
Rebel practices shop safety.
New peg board begins to fill in with body
molds.
Updated bench configuration. Note the
new easy access clamp storage using
the overhead wire shelf.
New vacuum draw down equipped
sanding area built in current remodeling
effort. Sander is able to slide to the
center to take advantage of the draw
down. Lift top storage is located on either
side.
Well, the squirrel has slid down a
12' wire to eat the bird's peanuts
again. He will most likely become a
tasty meal for our breeding pair of
Red Shoulder Hawks that just
returned this week.
New 4" ducting to all dust makers. Dust
collector is in adjoining store room.
Side Bender Bench Setup.
Bandsaw and joiner ducting. Joiner flex
tube gives flexibility to move it when
long stock is used.
Hootie approves of new remodeling
efforts.
I found some virtually straight grain
Zebra Wood locally in 2 inch thicknesses
that will make several guitars. Some
smaller 3/4" stock had to take flight.
This Koa will make a very nice OM.
Shop back in full swing.
Getting ready to join a Ziricote back for a
cutaway version of my grand concert.
This one will get some nice curly Koa
bindings.
Working on some Spanish Cedar for a
Harp Guitar.
Yeah, I don't see
the red either,
but it's a
beautiful bird. .
